Sushi Tribe welcomes you. From the four corners of the world, across continents and oceans, we have come together in Bellingham, to embrace our differences, celebrate life, and manifest our dreams. As of January 2010, we have consensed on four cardinal values to embody as a community:
Outreach and Education
We seek to provide Bellingham and the World community with useful information and entertaining media. Our main venue, the Alternative Library, is open to the public from 2 pm to 7 pm every day. We also host skill shares there every Saturday from 3 pm to 5 pm.
Wholistic Health
We offer a selection of holistic healing services at our Healing Center, including reiki, reflexogy, herbal tinctures, water, Nonviolent Communication, massage, and prayer. We also advocate non-addicative behaviours and encourage spiritual practices amongst our members. Come rest and heal.
Artistic Expression
We spend much of our time making art and music. Nearly every member can draw, sing, dance, drum, play an instruments, rap, write, or perform. Our bands include Sweet Medicine and Lovage. Visit our events page for more information.
Community Self-Reliance
We want to provide ourselves with healthy, organic food on our own terms - by growing it ourselves or working with local farmers. We also strive for economic self-sufficiency through our own cottage industries, providing quality goods and services to Bellingham and beyond.
